A Brief History of Espadrilles
The origin of Espadrilles takes us to the sun-drenched shores of Spain and France where they were originally worn by peasants in the Pyrenees mountains and made from simple materials like canvas or cotton for the upper and jute rope for the sole. (Talk about rustic charm!)
Fast forward to today, and espadrilles have become a fashion staple and appear in trend reports and on catwalks year after year, and 2024 is no exception.
